Intakes In The USA

Universities in the US have 3 intakes.

Students have the option of selecting the term of their study from 3 main intakes as follows:

  1. Intake 1: Fall Semester – It commences in August/September & is the Utmost intake.
  2. Intake 2: Spring Semester – It begins in January/February
  3. Intake 3: Summer Semester – It commences in May/June & is only available for selected Courses.

You have to select an intake that best suits your requirements and make your application according to that. Remember the deadline of submitting applications. It is usually a few months prior to the starting date of the semester. You also have to plan your US study visa application to accord with your college application process.

Eligibility Requirements For Students In Universities of US:

Student Applicant

  • Students must be above 18 years of age.
  • International students can work on campus up to 20 hours/week or less during the academic terms
  • Off-campus employment needs some written form or documented authorization provided by either the USCIS or OISS.
  • You need to be currently in legal status & have been registered as a student on a F-1 study visa in the US for a minimum of 1 academic year to be entitled for any form of off campus employment.
